Visit of Ms. Khalida Bouzar, Director of IFAD’s Near East, North Africa, Europe and Central Asia Division to Tajikistan



 In October 24, 2016, Ms. Khalida Bouzar the Director of IFAD’s Near East, North Africa, Europe and Central Asia Division has visited Tajikistan with the purpose to get insight into the results of Livestock and Pasture Development Projects implementation and establishment of mutually profitable cooperation. In this regard in office of the State Enterprise Project Management Unit “Livestock and Pasture Development” that is being implementing projects by the support of Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and IFAD in Sh. Shohin, Baljuvon, Khovaling, Muminobod and Temurmalik districts of the Khatlon region was organized meeting of Ms. Khalida Bouzar and IFAD’s representatives with PMU staff, national and international consultants and experts. The issues considered on agenda were related to results achieved within the LPDP implementation, its priorities, as well as the involvement of rural women and youth into Projects’ activities and on these bases establishment of new jobs and others. This meeting was organized with participation of Mr. Frits Jepson Frits Jepsen the Country Programme Manager of IFAD’s Near East, North Africa and Europe Division, Ms. Graciella Zabatta the Administrative Associate Office of the President and Vice President of the IFAD, representative of IFAD’s working Mission Ms. Anara Jumabaeva, representative of IFAD in Kirgizia Ms. Sarina Abdisheva, representative of IFAD in Tajikistan Ms. Zainab Kenjaeva and other international and national consultants. In his speech the director of PMU LPD Mr. Sadi Karimov has noted that there can be seen considerable results and perspectives for their further sustainability. In addition the Project Coordinator Mr. Turakul Murodov during the presentation of results achieved has stressed that in some cases the indicators of actual results are exceeding the planned ones. Having considered the achieved results and indicators of Projects implementation on generation of incomes, purposeful usage of allocated funds and other related issues Ms. Khalida Bouzar has expressed her point of view and shared ideas with participants. The working visit of Ms. Khalida Bouzar and other members of group to Projects’ targeted area continued in October 25, 2016.
