As part of its on-going support for IFAD-financed projects in the Republic of Tajikistan, IFAD video mission team has arrived on May 31, 2018 and filmed attractive stories of projects’ achievements that are being implemented by the State Enterprise “Project Management Unit “Livestock and Pasture Development” (PMU). The main objective of given activity is to show the positive impact of IFAD financing that have been made to overcome poverty and improve rural population’ living condition. Thus the above mission has conducted field visits to film attractive land shafts and historical places of projects targeted districts. It should be noted that in order to develop folk crafts the PMU has established rural Wool Processing Women Groups. The filming team has paid particular attention to Tajik women folk crafts, their marketing places and beauty of woolen products. Furthermore, they have visited historical Hisor castle to see the products prepared by women groups there that are being sold to tourists along with this have filmed the unique beauty of this historic place. The creative visit of IFAD journalists continues to June 7, 2018. The recorded files in short form are expected to be shown in various international events conducted by IFAD.
