Under the implementation of the instructions and assignments of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon regarding the improvement of local livestock breed, the State Enterprise “Project Management Unit “Livestock and Pasture Development” is implementing target measures. Within the implementation of second phase of the Project, Women Income Generating Groups established in targeted districts were provided with dairy cows as follows: Dangara district - 8 heads, Farkhor - 41 heads, Vose - 8 heads and Kulob - 10 heads of Schwyz and black and white breed. Also the PUUs were provided with a total of 24 120 kg of mixed fodder. Such support enables rural women to be both involved to work and increase the number purebred cows adapted to the regions climate and improve their living standards.
