During the visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Vose district, the results of works and provided agricultural machinery of the State Enterprise “Project Management Unit “Livestock and Pasture Development” have been presented, and farmers of Project targeted districts of Farkhor, Mir Said Ali Hamadoni and Kulob have received 26 new tractors MTZ 80/Х, MTZ 82/1, MTZ 892/2. This initiative is aimed to provide the rural population with the modern agricultural machinery and equipment and thus meeting the needs and requirements of Pasture User Unions.
- Shortage of agricultural machinery and equipment is one of the main problems of farmers, which is gradually being solved with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and International Fund for Agricultural Development, - said Abdulahad Khojazoda, Director of the State Enterprise “Project Management Unit “Livestock and Pasture Development”.
Abdullahad Khojazoda has noted that one of the factors to increase the productivity of agricultural products is the proper use of the planting season, while timely and cost-effective harvesting without agricultural machinery and equipment is impossible. Based on the guidance and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to provide farmers with modern agricultural machinery and equipment, the Pasture User Unions will have access to modern agricultural machinery and expand their activities, and make their contribution to provide local markets with domestic agricultural products.
Abdusattor Odinaev, Chairman of “Miropok” Pasture Users Union, Dahana jamoat of Kulob town, said that with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and International Fund for Agricultural Development, we have received new agricultural machinery, and thus by its wide use in the field works we will solve our long-continued problems. These agricultural machineries will provide support in field works and livestock sphere development.
– Of course, using these equipment we will conduct the sowing, processing and harvesting of fodder crops in a timely manner and with high quality, - said Abdusattor Odinayev.
Access to agricultural machinery and equipment will allow increasing of agricultural products from year to year. New agricultural machinery and equipment, which were provided to Pasture Users Unions in Project target districts, are aimed for this purpose. In order to support the development of agriculture sector, a number of other plans have been developed, which will be implemented in the framework of such state investment projects and programs.
It should be noted that the “Livestock and Pasture Development Project – II” is funded by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and International Fund for Agricultural Development. The main goal of the “Livestock and Pasture Development Project – II” is to improve the living standards of the population in covered districts.
