Poultry farming is one of the most important and labor - intensive sectors of agriculture and provides the population with cheap nutritious and dietary products. Some countries provide up to 70 percent of their meat from poultry.

Poultry production requires less food, labor, and material also technical resources than livestock products, so the cost of eggs and poultry meat is relatively low. The biological properties of poultry products are that they are dietary and contain a large number of biologically active substances (vitamins, amino acids, etc.).

INKUBATOR1Therefore, in the developed countries of the world, special attention is paid to the development of this sector. With this in mind, with the support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, poultry farms and combined fodder production were exempted from taxes for six years, which gave a serious impetus to the development of this sector.

In order to increase the number of poultry, provide the local market with dietary meat, eggs and permanent employment of rural poor women under the «Livestock and Pasture Development Project – II» 54 Women Income-Generating  Groups (432 women) were supported, which is one of the goals of the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the State Enterprise «Project Management Unit «Livestock and Pasture Development».

INKUBATOR2As part of the “Poultry Breeding” activity, 70 incubators with modern technology for managing the process of laying were provided to Women Income - Generating  Groups of poultry farmers in the target districts of the Project - Kulob 6, Vose 8, Farkhor 24, Mir Said Ali Hamadoni 9 and Dangara 23, through which the production of chickens and turkey is established.

Using the available incubators, by November 5, 2020, a total of 15 thousand 545 chickens were produced from poultry eggs and 5 thousand 120 chickens from turkey eggs and other poultry. In addition, in order to improve the living standards of 476 poor women in the target villages of the project, 2 thousand 859 chickens and more than 600 chickens were provided free. This initiative will continue to support women in need in targeted villages.

          INKUBATOR3  A group of women poultry farmers have expressed for the constant support and care and special attention of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for the steady development of agriculture, especially the poultry industry. Also, make a valuable contribution to the implementation of the strategic goal of ensuring food security of the country.
